Dec. 22nd, 2012 - Members of the Norristown Rotary Club pitched in with the Salvation Army serving as Bell Ringers on the coldest day of the year collecting $1,851.68 on Saturday at the West Norriton Walmart. Due to the extreme temperatures, four teams took two hour shifts. That Saturday is typically the most generous day of the year according to Major Laurence Wittenburg. Members of the club took turns ringing the bell for the Salvation Army collection on December 22. It was a cold day.
