DUES
Nine of our members are 4+ months overdue in paying their dues.  Numerous reminders have been issued.  This creates a problem for our club since it represents almost 30% of our operating income. If you owe dues, please contact the Club Secretary immediately and make arrangements. Don't force the board to take action next month because we didn't hear from you.
Thank you for your cooperation.

EXPENSES
Also, as we close the fiscal year there are a number of large budgeted projects forecast where expenses have not been turned in. We will be closing the books next month for the funding year. It is very important to turn all reimbursement receipts in in a timely manner before closing. This is imperative as once the budget money goes unspent, budget funding can not be carried over to the next fiscal year even if you acquire the receipt the prior year and there is no guarantee of new budget money.
Therefore please have all project expense receipts turned in to the secretary before June 15th if you hope to be reimbursed.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST A FINANCIAL SUCCESS
   I am extremely happy to report the our annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction / Raffle held on Ap. 20, 2024, was a resounding success. After all the expenses were accounted for, we cleared $18938, which will be distributed to this year's recipients: The Literacy Council of Norristown and The Grace and Cecil Bean Soup Kitchen.
Many of our members and a few of their friends, worked long hours planning the event, and put in a full day at the event.
Thanks to everyone who contributed time and effort.
   The profits came from three areas: ticket sales, which all our members were asked to participate in; the Raffle, and the Auction, complete with on-line bidding; and funding from our sponsors. We had 28 organizations and individuals contribute as sponsors, including three of our members contributing at the Platinum level. A special thanks to all the sponsors.

   Again, a personal thanks to everyone who made this year's major fundraiser, a great success and a fine benefit to the community.

* NEWS
LAST WEEK
CHANGE-OVER PICNIC
Last Thursday, the Club held its annual Change-over and year end picnic at Padden Park. Great weather combined with great food and even greater people to make for an entertaining and great way to end the year.
Outgoing president Mary Onama gave her farewell address, thanking those who contributed to a successful year, on many fronts. She also presented the Member of the Year award to Tim Meyers for his many contributions to club functions, especially organizing the Silent Auction portion of the fundraiser.
Mary then pinned the New president, Ruth Hagglund, who spoke to the group outlining a few of her goals for the coming year.
Thanks to Judy Bucko for organizing the event for us.
