ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
PANCAKE BREAKFAST - AUCTION / RAFFLE is in the final stages of preparation and we will need everyone's participation

I will send out copies the the letters requesting donations for the AUCTION/RAFFLE next week. Ask business and friends if they would like to donate a gift basket for the auction/raffle.
We have online signup lists now, it is easy to add your name. There are a half dozen events planned and listed for which you can sign up. ll are welcome. Bring a friend.
Last Thursday, the club welcomed JENIFER BUTLET, Executive Director of MONTCO WORKS , to speak to the club about the activities that her organization brings to the community. Their services center around the training of individuals for today's job market and getting them off the unemployment roles. Montco Works is part of the Commerce Department of Montgomery County and works in conjunction with the
PA CareerLink program. They offer over 55 programs for training in a wide range of employment opportunities including truck driving, tech, software, IT, welding to name just a few of the jobs in highest demand. They have training programs not only for individuals but also for staff positions, apprenticeships, and a youth development program. Jenifer pointed out the although Montgomery County has a relatively low unemployment, the high local wages and cost of living make the areas around Pottstown and Norristown particularly difficult to serve. They deal with 20 to 30 people each day who are looking for work.

SoleHarvest 5kRun for the Norristown Hospitality Center on Oct 08, 2022
A large turnout and a dry brisk morning made for excellent race conditions. The runners were on pace and turnout was good.
Our Rotary Club was stationed about halfway through the race to encourage the runners and help push them to the finish. We were provided with noise makers and pom poms to cheer them on.
No Rotarians were lost or left on the course in the process as we were provide transportation to and from our spot.
Thanks to those members who came out to support.
Don't forget this was only one of a half dozen other Rotary events for which you can volunteer. Anyone is welcome, bring a friend.

After the show, while enjoying the delicious libations, the actors and director will join us for lively discussions about the show! You can ask them ANYTHING!!!

There will be raffle baskets, one-of-a-kind, hand-made Rotaplast quilt, and a 50/50 drawing.

President Sunanda has officially kicked off the 'Each One, Bring One' member campaign.
Rotary Clubs need to continue to grow in order to enhance our ability to dedicate resources to solving a community or global issue.
This year, President Sunanda is asking every Club member to bring a visitor, spouse, family, friend or acquaintance to our meeting and introduce them to Rotary.
If everyone brought a guest it would double our meeting size, and if half of the visitors discovered Rotary and became a member, the club would grow by 50%.
Please think about it this week and identify someone you would like to introduce to Rotary. Bring them to a meeting and tell them why you joined.
Is some of your expected gmail missing from the Inbox?
Aside from regular spam filtering, sometimes Google also takes a guess at your incoming gmail and pre-categorizes it in order to cut down on spam. The Tabs 'Social' and 'Promotions' capture some of your email instead. Well, Google doesn't always get it right.
Fortunately, even though that is the default setting, you can change the setting and control your pre-categorization completely and get all your mail back in the old inbox. YOU can select select the problem email in 'Promotions' and drag it to the inbox, OR.... A more reliable way is to control your own categories or simply have none at all. If you uncheck the 'Social" and 'Promotions' categories in settings, your future email will not appear in those virtual folders but rather in your old inbox as expected.
Here's what you do to fix it. Go to your inbox settings link. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/inbox Uncheck the boxes 'Social' and 'Promotions', AND CLICK SAVE From now on it will appear in the old inbox as expected.
