Diane Helm will collect gently used, re-sellable items at a Rotary Table to raise funds for the Club.

Celebrating Virginia Frantz' Retirement
Mark your calendar for the Montgomery County Foundation, Inc Luncheon on September 30, 2026 where we will honor Virginia Frantz for her 24 years of exceptional leadership and service to the Foundation.
Congratulations to our 2026 Pancake Breakfast Grant Winners. Over $18,000 was awarded to three local charity organizations. Representatives receiving the checks are pictured below:

The board elected to erect 3 more community 'Little Sharing Libraries' in the community.
President Alan volunteered to construct the structures. There will be three, one in East Norriton, West Norriton and Norristown.
Construction began back in March with the initial wooden pieces for each unit. Naturally there are a lot of detailed processes to build even one. Once you have a floor, roof and sides, doors must be constructed with a frame, hinges and glass panels. Alan has spent considerable time building these things. Last weekend club members met at Alan's house to primer and paint the units.
Seven Rotarians attended for the painting party and completed the painting of each unit. Final assembly will follow and the club can proceed to install and dedicate the libraries. Below are some photos along the way:

The very first Rotary ‘Avenue of Service’ is Club Service. Each of us took an oath to provide club service. Club service can come in several forms. It may include serving the Board, organizing a project, or leading a committee. But each is basically giving back time and skill to the club to make the club successful.
One of the most needed forms of club service is to serve as a Club Officer or Board Director for the club. This service opportunity allows members to contribute their skills, grow their leadership skill set, and provide key input to promote the cause of the club.
We should be thankful for those who serve, it's an awesome responsibility, and MAKE NO MISTAKE …
”To serve as a club officer is a privilege that comes with honor and distinction. It is possibly the highest form of Rotary service you can contribute.
You might wonder, is ever noticed once that I have served? I often wear my Rotary pin in public. I was out dining last year and someone approached me on the way out, in the restaurant and asked, you're with Rotary, where is your club located? I told them. They had noticed my pin and said.. oh, I see you were club president? I told them yes, I very much enjoyed it and was honored to serve as club president for one year. So yes, I can say it definitely get’s noticed.
Serving as President is opportunity to promote club efforts on the things you consider important to both you and the rest of the club. Your perspective is very important to the future of the club. A chance to focus.
Rotary also suggests four other types of service. As stated in the mission objective.
Rotary's ideal of service is based on the Five Avenues of Service – Club, Vocational, Community, International and New Generations – that comprise Rotary International's philosophical cornerstone. Rotary clubs carry out efforts along each avenue in support of the Object of Rotary.
Five Avenues of Service, often appear as seen below:
Club Service- the first Avenue of service
Vocational Service -- the Second Avenue of Service. ...
Community Service -- the Third Avenue of Service. ...
International Service -- the Fourth Avenue of Service. ...
New Generations Service -- the Fifth Avenue of Service. Youth Services.
Consider serving, if you have the opportunity. It is rewarding, worthwhile, and a chance to develop your personal leadership skills.
And here’s another little secret which I quickly learned …. You can’t fail !!! We won’t let you. There is a strong network of brothers and sisters, all past presidents, with years of experience to step in and help you deal with challenges and growth opportunities. We got your back !
Do yourself and your club a favor, consider serving your club.
