Venue Committee Reports

The Venue committee visited 4 possible future sites this week should the club need to relocate. The availability of the present site remains unknown. There is no definite date nor commitment to move yet. However we are negotiating with one venue which looks promising as several others were ruled out. Stay tuned as discussions continue. The goal was to find a reasonable venue in Norristown, East Norriton or West Norriton with reasonable food service which could provide a small amount of storage for video equipment, and guarantee weekly meeting availability. Stay tuned for updates.

Board Meets

The Board of Directors met and conducted business.

The Financial reports for April and May were accepted.

The Final Report for the Pedals for Progress project was approved.

5th Thursday Social Hour

Club Changeover June 13

The Club Changeover Picnic is planned for June 13, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at the Padden Park recreation facility near our butterfly garden on Oakland Drive in West Norriton.

The swear in ceremony will be conducted according the the forthcoming election this month.

It will be catered once again by Mission barbecue.

Cost is $25 / person and REMEMBER IT IS A BYOB.

The Vibrant Club Summit is September 14

Prayers to Drew Kessler & Family

Last week traveling to the Rotary International Conference in Singapore, Drew Kessler and his family were onboard that airliner that suffered serious turbulence and passenger injuries.

Drew is our local Rotary International Director (there are 17 in all). Drew reported on Facebook the boys were okay but his wife suffered a broken back and he suffered a broken neck.One passenger was killed. His wife Vicki had surgery and is recovering. Drew’s injury is stable and he will have surgery when he returns home. Drew was able to make an a-presence at the conference. Please offer prayers to those onboard and to Drew’s family in hopes of a relatively speedy recovery.
