* ANNOUNCEMENTS
A Special thanks to Mary Onama
The club wishes to thank Mary for an extremely successful year during her presidency.  We got a lot accomplished under Mary's direction.  And the club enjoyed her smile at the podium and her positive attitude and fairness towards the many challenges.
Thank you Mary.

Venue Committee Reports
The Venue committee visited 4 possible future sites this week should the club need to relocate. The availability of the present site remains unknown. There is no definite date nor commitment to move yet.  However we are negotiating with one venue which looks promising as several others were ruled out.  Stay tuned as discussions continue.  The goal was to find a reasonable venue in Norristown, East Norriton or West Norriton with reasonable food service which could provide a small amount of storage for video equipment, and guarantee weekly meeting availability.  Stay tuned for updates.

Board Meets
The Board of Directors met and conducted business.
The Financial reports for April and May were accepted.
The Final Report for the Pedals for Progress project was approved.

Happy Birthday Jack Rule

Robin Parker
Robin Parker

We grieve the passing of Robin Parker yesterday after a lengthy illness. A truly amazing leader, Robin was the only Club President in 100+ years to serve two years in succession as President of the club. Robin's ever positive attitude, high energy and creativity brought many, many positive changes to the Norristown Community in everything she did, including Rotary and the Norristown Dragon Boat Club. The Community Butterfly Garden project was Robin's brainchild and creation. Countless days and hours she spent beautifying and restoring Riverfront Park. Robin's kindness and passion directed much of her time and focus on helping youth development. When the Club met challenges, it was Robin who would find a way and she would be the one to ask "why not" ?
We will sincerely miss Robin and we extend our condolences and our thanks to her family for helping make her part of our lives.

Rosalie Hetrick
A Transplant Journey - Rosalie Hetrick

Rosalie is a lifelong resident of the Norristown Area. She is a flutist and taught general music K-4 for 25 years before retirement.  She has been an active volunteer at the Ronald McDonald Camp which services cancer patients/survivors and their siblings for 20 years.  Her role there is as a music specialist and cabin counselor.
Rosalie has 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren in the area. And her latest hobby is mandala painting which I learned during the pandemic.

Rosalie suffered a 30 year bout with polycystic kidney disease with only two options, a life of dialysis or transplant.  There are over 5000 people in the region needing a kidney.  While doors volunteer, with a waiting list like that you are pretty much on your own in finding your own donor. And so with no family matches, she began her own campaign using Facebook and Social Media. Since she volunteered at the Ronald McDonald Camp every summer, that was where she found her 'altruistic donor' Anne-Marie Holstein.

Rosalie and Ann-Marie spent many hours at the University of Pennsylvania Medical center. With constant challenges, it was anything but a sure conclusion.  They both had the ir successful surgery in 2018. And Rosalie has spent every moment since helping others finding themselves in the same situation.
