Pancake Breakfast 2013

Apr 6, 2013 - The Annual Pancake Breakfast at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church had the largest turnout ever this year, raising over $10,000. for charity. We had student and parent  volunteer help from the Norristown Interact Club and the Greater Norristown PAL Center.  There were over 70 items from friends and local merchants donated for auction or raffle.  This year, the menu was expanded to include scrambled eggs as well as blueberry pancakes, both of which were going like hot cakes (sorry).  All proceeds from the event go to the Advocates Against Hunger organization in Norristown and will be used to fortify the local soup kitchens and food pantries in Norristown.  This is the club's major annual fundraising event and proves to be growing in size each year.  The Rotary Club of Norristown wishes to thank our sponsor, Fairview Village Enterprise, Shoprite Supermarket E Norriton, Sessano Cafe & Deli, the Norristown Interact Club, Greater Norristown PAL, our patrons and all of the generous gift donors for their participation and support. Also thanks to Chairman David Beach, Scott Wright, Guido Martinelli and the committee for their superb planning and execution.

Setting up Friday night

Things picked up on Saturday morning as the auction got quite busy.

And, we're open for business.
