Jan 9, 2014 - Chris Wheeler of the Philadelphia Phillies visited the club the day after leaving the broadcast booth with the Phillies.  Chris has been a loyal friend to the Norristown club (and continues to be) and has spoken at the club for 25 years. This year was a little harder than most but he is the same colorful, baseball savvy Chris Wheeler, we have known and loved for decades.  The club is extremely grateful for his loyal friendship and dedication.  In gratitude, here Chris is presented with a picture of Connie Mack Stadium (home of the Phillies until 1970) which used to stand at 21st & Lehigh Ave in Philadelphia. That is where Chris' Phillies broadcasting career started in 1977.  Even the legendary Bobby Wine was in attendance and made his own, humorous tribute to Chris.

The picture inscription reads:

baseball began with your Father
